Man Dies After Shooting In West Haven, ID Released: Police
One man has died, and another person remains hospitalized after a shooting in a restaurant parking lot in West Haven, according to police.
WEST HAVEN, CT — A man has died after being shot Sunday in a restaurant parking in West Haven, police said in an update Wednesday.
The victim has been identified as 41-year-old Jose Miguel Avila of New Haven, according to Sgt. Scott Allard.
Allard said Avila sustained three gunshot wounds at the scene and died from his injuries at the hospital.

The second victim, who police are not identifying at this time, remains hospitalized and is currently listed in stable condition, according to Allard.
The shooting happened around 2 a.m. on Oct. 5 in the parking lot of Two Thirteen Bar & Grill in the 200 block of Saw Mill Road in West Haven.
