Man Fatally Shot In West Haven: Police

WEST HAVEN, CT — A man was fatally shot early Sunday in West Haven, police said.

At 2 a.m. the West Haven Police Department received 911 calls reporting an altercation in the parking lot of 703 Campbell Ave., police said.

Officers responded and located a male victim with a gunshot wound, police said.

"He was immediately transported to an area hospital for assistance," police said. "Unfortunately, this individual was pronounced deceased."

A crime scene was established and members of the Detective Division have assumed this investigation. No other details were released.
