Man Found Dead In Car With Gunshot To Head: West Haven PD

WEST HAVEN, CT — Police are investigating after a man was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head in a car Wednesday night in West Haven, according to police.

Police received a 911 call around 11:40 p.m. on Feb. 19 reporting a car on the side of Terrace Avenue near Glad Street with a man slumped over in the back seat, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head, according to Sgt. Scott Allard.

Allard said patrol officers responded to the scene and found an unresponsive man in the back seat.

Officers confirmed that he had sustained a gunshot wound to the head, according to Allard.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are asking for the public’s help with the investigation. Any witnesses or anyone with video footage are asked to contact West Haven Police Detectives at 203-937-3905. Any information provided will remain confidential, Allard said.
