Obituary: Catherine M. 'Kay' Coyle, 89, of West Haven
Catherine, always proud of her Irish heritage, was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church and previously worked for Travelers and S.N.E.T.

WEST HAVEN, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home): Catherine M. “Kay” Coyle, age 89, of West Haven passed away peacefully on March 11, 2021 with her children at her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis J. “Bunny” Coyle, Jr.
Catherine is survived by her loving children, David F. (Valerie) Coyle, Mary (Matthew) Coyle Shaw, Ann (Michael) Coyle Smith, 6 grandchildren, Kaitlin and Kevin Coyle, Kelly and Colleen Shaw, Erin and Ryan Smith and her brother Paul Humason.
Born in New Britain on February 19, 1932, Catherine was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Feeney Mullen. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Thomas Mullen, Jr.

Catherine graduated from New Britain High School, and prior to marriage was employed by Travelers and S.N.E.T.
After spending many childhood summers at Prospect Beach she and Bunny settled in West Haven where they raised their family. Catherine was a deeply religious women, and as a communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church, volunteered at its Clothes Closet and was a member of the church social group.

Irish traditions were very important to Catherine, and she devoted herself to being a wonderful and loving Mom and wife.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful nurses and staff of Maplewood at Orange, Milford Hospital and Connecticut Hospice for their compassionate care.
