Obituary: Frank J. Pagogna, 95, of West Haven

Frank, a devoted family man, proudly served during World War II and was a founding member of the West Haven Italian American Club.

WEST HAVEN, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home) Frank J. Pagogna, 95, of West Haven entered into rest on January 22, 2022. A son of the late Edward G. and Victoria Erardi Pagogna, he was born in New Haven on June 11, 1926.

Frank’s loving family includes his children Denise (Steven) Rubino of West Haven, Diane (the late Robert, Sr.) Crocco of Orange, Terese (John) O’Shea of Milford and Edward (Cindy) Pagogna of West Haven, his adoring grandchildren, Frankie, Jacquie, Kevin, Alexandra, Stefanie, Sara, Robbie, Amanda and Samantha, and his 5 cherished great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his former wife Anita Pagogna, sister Lois Nutley and grandchildren Victoria and Sean.

Frank was most proud of two things, family first and a close second, his military service during World War II.

Both of which he often spoke about. He was a founding member of the West Haven Italian American Club and the organizer of the clubs’ Bingo.

He served as president of the club in 1971.

Visitation will take place on Friday morning January 28 from 9 to 11 am at the West Haven Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 11.

Interment, with military honors, will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
