Obituary: Gladys Louise Quinn, 73, of West Haven

Gladys cherished her time with family, taking vacations, tending to her gardens, playing bingo and trips to the casino.

WEST HAVEN, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home) Gladys Louise Quinn, 73, of West Haven, died on January 30, 2022. Born in Ridgeview, West Virginia on December 1, 1948, a daughter of the late Delbert and Mary (Hughes) George.

Gladys is survived by her beloved husband and best friend of 51 years, Ronnie Quinn; adoring daughters Teena (George) Fucci and Lisa Quinn (Peter Schultz); brother David (Joan) Bias; sisters Nila Stone, Christine Bowling and Bonnie George; grandchildren Tyler (Laura), Megan, Mary, and Juniper; many (great) nieces, (great) nephews, as well as cherished friends.

She is additionally predeceased by brothers Kenny and Tommy George, as well as sister Margaret Elizabeth George.

Gladys relocated to Connecticut at an early age to embark on an exciting life of work, adventure, and beginning a family.

As it was family Gladys considered most important, she adored to spend time in their company, most especially while relishing within the setting of Cape Cod during their many collective vacations together.

Her interests also included time spent in her yard- particularly tending to her gardens, games of bingo, and excursions to the casino.

Arrangements have been entrusted to West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Calling hours will take place on Friday, February 4th, from 5 to 7 o’clock. A time of remembrance will immediately follow at 7 o’clock, in the funeral parlor.

Additional services will remain private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Glady’s honor to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
