Obituary: Irene McDonough, 89, of West Haven
Irene was a part-time bookkeeper for various companies and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
WEST HAVEN, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home) Irene McDonough of West Haven passed away on November 9, 2021 at the age of 89.
She was the loving wife of the late John “Red” McDonough Sr. Irene was a part-time bookkeeper for various companies before retiring in 1983.
She enjoyed shopping, traveling and having extended family over for gatherings.
Irene was the sister of the late Anthony Monte Jr. and the late Bette E. DeBerry.
She leaves behind her son John Jr. of New Haven, her daughter Karen of West Haven, her cherished grandson Ryan Patrick and a grand dog Captain.
Irene’s family would like to thank Constellation Hospice for all their compassion, support and care over the past 2 years. As well as Dr. Lazarides and his staff at the West Haven Medical Group, Amity office.
Visitation will take place on Saturday from 9-10:30am at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green, with a Funeral Service commencing at 10:30am.
Interment will follow in Mt. St. Peter's Cemetery, Derby.
