Obituary: Jacqueline G. Perno, 88, of West Haven
Jackie, a lifelong hockey fan, worked many years as an LPN at the Hospital of Saint Raphael.
WEST HAVEN, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Jacqueline G. Perno, 88, of West Haven, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford. Born in New Haven on August 29, 1933, she was the daughter of the late James and Janet (Grant) Paige.
Jackie worked as an LPN at the Hospital of Saint Raphael until retirement. A life-long hockey fan, she was fond of telling stories of the New Haven Blades.
Jackie is survived by her daughter, Joy Santacroce of Meriden; her son, Joseph Perno of West Haven; her grandchildren, Jason (Katie) Santacroce, Kimberly Kenny, James Perno, Jenna Perno, Jillian Perno and Joseph Perno Jr.; and several great-grandchildren.
Jackie’s daughter, Joy would like to thank the highly skilled and caring staff of Masonicare Ramage 3 and the Hospice staff for their compassionate care.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 11am in Beaverdale Memorial Park, 90 Pine Rock Ave, New Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jackie’s memory can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or an animal rescue of your choice.
