Obituary: Kenneth Evarts, 61, formerly of West Haven
Kenneth, an assistant grocery manager at Stop & Shop for 42 years, enjoyed the outside, playing basketball & spending time with loved ones.

WEST HAVEN, CT - (From Keenan Funeral Home) Kenneth Evarts, 61, of Orange, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 2nd after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Kenneth was born on January 12, 1961 in New Haven, CT. He is predeceased by his parents, E. Frank Evarts and Frances Egan Evarts, as well as his brother-in-law Anthony Ruggiero.
Kenneth leaves behind the love of his life of over 40 years, Joan Evarts and two children, Jessica (Brendan) Sullivan and Matthew Evarts. He also leaves behind his 3 sisters, Donna Jetmar, Eileen (Nicholas) Vitale, and Pamela Ruggiero as well as several nephews and many lifelong friends.
Kenneth was a graduate of West Haven High School Class of 1979 and was an Assistant Grocery Manager for Stop & Shop for 42 years. Kenneth loved to spend time outside working in his beautiful yard, playing basketball, reading at the beach, and vacationing with his family in Ocean City, Maryland and Aruba.
The Evarts Family would like to send a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at both Smilow Cancer Hospital and Connecticut Hospice of Branford for their wonderful care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Smilow Cancer Hospital or Connecticut Hospice in memory of Kenneth.
