Obituary: Kimberly Ann Carty, 62, of West Haven

WEST HAVEN, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home) Kimberly Ann Carty, age 62, of West Haven passed away peacefully on February 21, 2021.

For 39 years, she was the loving wife of Paul Carty Sr. Kim was born in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Richard and Elizabeth “Betty” Frances Fickett.

She is also survived by her loving children, Rachel (DeRamus) Carty–Smart of VA, Paul Carty Jr. of New Haven and Trevor Carty of West Haven, her adoring grandchildren, Isabel, Jayden, Isaiah, Imani, Ariana and Thalia and her beloved siblings, Donna Carta of Higganum, Cathy Fickett of Rocky Hill, Thomas Fickett of Portland and Richard Fickett Jr. of Maine.

She was predeceased by her sister Sonia Fickett Johnson.

Prior to her retirement, Kim was a CNA for Regalcare of West Haven. She was a founding member of Local 1199, National HealthCare Workers Union.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11am-1pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green, with a funeral service to commence at 1pm.

Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kim’s name to CT Hospice 100 Double Beach Rd. Branford, CT 06405.
