Obituary: Mary Urbano Mongillo 93, of West Haven
Mary, a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, worked for Yale-New Haven Hospital prior to retirement.
WEST HAVEN, CT - (From Porto Funeral Home) Mary Urbano Mongillo 93, of West Haven beloved wife of the late Anthony F. Mongillo Sr. passed away on May 17, 2022 in the Arden House of Hamden.
Loving mother of Victoria (Dr. Eric) Ossowski of Scottsdale, AZ, Louis Mongillo and companion Louis Guglielmo of Hamden, Mary (Michael) Massella of Ft. Myers, FL, Anthony F. (Peggie) Mongillo Jr. and Joseph Mongillo all of West Haven and Ann Marie Gilmore of Milford.
Mary is also survived by 12 cherished grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a grandson Theodore Francois III. Sister of Virginia Mathers of Meriden and Palm Coast FL and the late Rose Andrade, Josephine D’Agostino, Stephen Urbano Jr and Nicholas and Pasquale Urbano.
Mary was born in Wallingford on August 20, 1928 daughter of the late Stephen and Elvira DelGreggo Urbano Sr. Mother -in- law of the late David Gilmore.
Prior to her retirement Mary was a key punch operator for Yale-New Haven Hospital.
Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME 830 Jones Hill Rd. West Haven MONDAY morning at 9:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John the XXIII Parish in St. Lawrence Church at 10:00.
Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum of St. Lawrence Cemetery. Family and Friends may call SUNDAY from 4pm to 7pm.
