Obituary: Michael Ronald Mainor, 47, of West Haven
Michael, known for his sense of humor and love for music and animals, was a loving, devoted and dedicated father.
WEST HAVEN, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home) Michael Ronald Mainor, age 47, of West Haven, CT passed away suddenly on January 26, 2022. Michael was born in New Haven, CT to Ronnie "Bud" Mainor and Barbara Capasso Mainor of Myrtle Beach, SC.
He was predeceased in death by his brother Dean Mainor, who passed away in March of 2021, grandparents, Arnold and Doris Capasso, Al and Lorraine Mathewson, aunt Michele (Mike) Nuzzo and uncle Wayne Mainor.
In addition to his parents, he also leaves behind his life partner Shannon Carter, a daughter Giana Mainor, whom he cherished with his whole heart, stepson Matthew Carter, mother-in-law Ellen Carter, aunts Maria Capasso, Linda (Nicholas) Sandella, Karen (Bobby Olmoz), and many cousins and friends. Michael had a love for music, animals, and most of all, his daughter.
He was known for his jokes and always made you laugh —a trait he passed down to his daughter that will continue to live on through her.
Michael worked at US Products of Milford for many years as a warehouse manager, followed by being a conductor for Rail America.
Most recently he worked as an electrician apprentice hoping to get a license in the field.
Michael will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday morning from 8:30-10am at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. His funeral procession will then leave the funeral home at 10am for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Lawrence Church at 10:30.
Interment will be private.
