Obituary: Robert J. Tracy, 76, of West Haven
Bobby, a proud veteran and baseball standout, was known as a railroad legend, dedicating 37 years of service as an engineer at Metro North.

WEST HAVEN, CT - (From Keenan Funeral Home): Robert J. Tracy, formerly of West Haven, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the beloved husband of the late Jane Poulsen Tracy, whom he was married to for over 50 years. He was born in New Haven on August 19, 1945 and was the son of the late Robert and Gladys Tracy.
Robert was a proud veteran, serving in Vietnam in A Company, 2nd of the 3rd Infantry, 199th Light Infantry Brigade.
Before being drafted, Robert attended St. Leo’s college where he played baseball.
Bobby, a railroad legend, retired in 2006 after 37 years as an engineer for Metro North.
Bobby was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
He loved taking trips in the summer to Saratoga with his friends and would love to host Christmas Eve where it was an open house and all were welcome. He will be sadly missed by all.
He is survived by his three daughters, Meredith (Steven) Cacace of Guilford, Erin (Bill) Frank of Guilford, and Eileen (Eric) Pepe of Guilford, as well as his siblings, Mary, Linda, and Peter Tracy.
He is survived by six grandchildren Kylie, Gabriella, Olivia, Madelyn, Lilah, and Robert as well as many other loving family members and friends.
