Obituary: William James Daniels, 78, of West Haven
William was employed by Macy's and volunteered as an assistant at the Hamden Public Library for many years.
WEST HAVEN, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home) William James Daniels, 78 of West Haven, formerly of Hamden, passed away peacefully at Yale New Haven Hospital.
William was born in New Haven, Connecticut on August 25, 1943, the only child of the late William Joseph Daniels and Leola LaPenn Daniels.
He attended St. Mary’s Grammar School in New Haven and graduated from Hamden High School in 1962.
He was subsequently employed by Macy’s and volunteered as an assistant at the Hamden Public Library for many years.
Since 2007, Mr. Daniels was maintained in residence at the Seacrest Retirement Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on December 10, 2021 at 10 o’clock at St. Mary Church, 5 Hillhouse Avenue, New Haven. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hamden.
