Victim Identified In Fatal Shooting In West Haven: Police
A man was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head in a car in West Haven, according to police.
WEST HAVEN, CT — The victim killed in a shooting last week in West Haven has been identified as 19-year-old Wilberto Millet of Waterbury, police said in an update Monday morning.
Police received a 911 call around 11:40 p.m. on Feb. 19 reporting a car on the side of Terrace Avenue near Glad Street with a man slumped over in the back seat, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head, according to Sgt. Scott Allard.
Allard said patrol officers responded to the scene and found an unresponsive man in the back seat.

Officers confirmed that he had sustained a gunshot wound to the head, according to Allard.
Millet was pronounced dead at the scene.

In an update Monday, Allard said the investigation is ongoing and while the shooting has been reported as an accidental shooting/ or self-inflicted, “detectives are working tirelessly to confirm this.”
