NEW HAVEN, CT —Sunday night around 7 p.m., police were called to Goodyear and West Read streets for a report of a vehicle that crashed into the front porch of a house. What officers found was that the driver of the vehicle, a 21-year-old from West Haven had suffered a gunshot wound to his head, police said. The man was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital where he's currently in critical condition with life-threatening injuries but is stable. New Haven police detectives interviewed people involved and found "ballistic evidence." Anyone who may have information or is a witness to the incident are asked to call police at 203-946-6304.
