According to NHPD spokesperson Officer Christian Bruckhart, it's believed Domingo was on a bicycle before being shot, and that the "suspects" fled on foot.

A GoFundMe was created by muralist Prez Perez, Torres' brother. On Facebook, Perez wrote: "My community that I tried to help build through murals, art and love is the same community that kills my brother!!!"

"So It is with a heavy heart that I’m writing this, but my older brother was just killed on 7/11/25 2 days before his 45th birthday and left to die on the street as if he was worthless. The grief and shock of an unexpected loss hits a bit differently than anything else.
My older brother was a father of 3 boys that he loved very much. And now, because of senseless gun violence in our city of New Haven, those 3 boys are left without a father for the rest of their lives. But I’m here asking for your help with any donations that can help us raise $10,000 as these funds will help our family get through this difficult time."

Police spokesperson Bruckhart confirmed that police have leads in the case.

Police asked that anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have information valuable to investigators to call detectives at 203–946–6304 or through the department's anonymous tip line at 866–888–TIPS (8477).
