West Haven Man Critically Injured In Shooting: New Haven Police

Police said the man who was involved in a crash in New Haven was a gunshot victim.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Shortly before midnight Thursday, police were called to a reported car crash in Fair Haven.

When cops got to the area of Grand Avenue and Fillmore Street, they found that a car had hit two parked vehicles, and the driver of the car "unresponsive," police said.

They discovered that the man, a 45-year-old from West Haven, was suffering from a gunshot wound, according to police spokesperson Officer Christian Bruckhart.

Taken to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment, Bruckhart said the man's condition is critical.
