• Check out some live music in Redding tonight! The 440s and Colt Six performat the  starting at 8 p.m. and the Walter Lewis Blues Trio is playing at the  at 9 p.m.

• An event for the young ones at the Easton Public Library: Family Fun Night with Tanglewood Marionettes. The event is open to Friends of the Library first, but will be open to the public, space permitting. It's scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.

• The Weston Girl Scouts meet in the community room at the Weston Public Library tonight at 7:30 p.m. 

• On this day in 2006, construction began on the new structure at One World Trade Center. The building, which will be 1,776 feet upon completion, is scheduled to be finished next year.
