Another Underage Drinking Party Busted in Redding

For the second time in as many weeks, broke up an underage drinking party.

On Sunday, July 1 at 11:03 p.m., Redding Police responded to a home on Wagon Wheel Road where there was a large gathering of youths, many of whom left before police arrived. Police discovered an underage drinking party going on.

A 17-year-old male, whose name could not be released due to recent changes in state law, was charged with hosting an underage drinking party. His parents were not home at the time of the arrest.

Vandalism at the middle school

On Monday, June 25, police responded to John Read Middle School to discover a classroom had been vandalized. According to police, someone wrote a derogatory comment on a white board and put a piece of wood in the microwave and turned it on. The microwave was damaged, police said. Two drug overdoses

Last week, Redding Police responded to two intentional drug overdoses. The first one occurred on Monday, June 25 at 7:13 p.m. on Glen Hill Road and the second occurred on Thursday, June 28 at 2:52 p.m. on Picketts Ridge Road. The incidents were not related, police said.
