BREAKING: Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for Weston, Redding, Easton
Saturday storms could be fast-moving— find out when they will hit your area.

WESTON, CT — Weather or not, here comes the weekend. And weather-wise, it looks to be mostly on the not side except for a chance of some storms moving into Connecticut on Saturday afternoon, the National Weather Service says. That leaves a pretty big window for the Travelers Championship final rounds in Cromwell and the Nutmeg State Games in New Britain. And for beach-goers.
The NWS issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Fairfield and Litchfield Counties and they are predicting temperatures in the low-to-mid-80s and not much fluctuation between the shoreline and inland, save for a couple of degrees. Saturday storms could be fast-moving, so lighting sightings will serve as a stern invitation to move indoors or to safety fast.

Friday night: Increasing clouds, with a low around 66. South wind 3 to 7 mph.
Saturday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly between 2 and 3 p.m. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds, heavy rain, and frequent lightning. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 86. South wind 7 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Saturday night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9 p.m, then a slight chance of showers between 9pm and midnight. Mostly clear, with a low around 63. Light northwest wind. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 84. Northwest wind 3 to 5 mph.
Sunday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 60.
