Car Strikes Two Teens on Route 7 During Snowstorm

No charges were filed in the accident.

A car on Route 7 struck two pedestrians during last week’s snowstorm.

According to police, a car containing three teenagers was disabled near New Canaan Ski & Sport on March 8 at 2:24 a.m. The teens got out of their car and went on the road. A vehicle driven by a 63-year-old Bethel man then struck two of them, who were wearing dark clothing.

No charges were filed due to the snowy conditions, and the teens were taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Police Chief Doug Fuchs said the man was driving his car really slowly at the time of the accident.
