D’Addario To Run For Easton First Selectman
Easton Selectman Nick D'Addario launches First Selectman bid; Adrienne Burke joins Democratic ticket for Selectman seat.

EASTON, CT — Selectman Nick D’Addario announced his candidacy for First Selectman, aiming to succeed David Bindelglass, who will retire after serving three terms. D’Addario, a Democrat, is completing his first term on the Board of Selectmen and will be joined on the ticket by local business owner Adrienne Burke, an unaffiliated voter and current member of the Library Board.
The announcement was made by Easton Democratic Town Committee Chair Nanette DeWester on May 8. Bindelglass, who won three consecutive terms beginning in 2019, will chair the D’Addario-Burke campaign.
D’Addario cited accomplishments including the renovation of the Easton EMS facility, support for education and senior services, and the preservation of open space as key outcomes during his tenure.

"With the potential for an economic downturn looming, I’m committed to maintaining the open and transparent government that Democrats brought to Easton so we can all work together to preserve the character of the town and to find creative solutions to important issues as when we secured millions in state funding for the EMS building," he said in a statement.
Bindelglass endorsed D’Addario’s candidacy, highlighting his executive background and commitment to transparency. "Nick’s executive experience running a regional business will be an asset in managing our town," he said.

Burke, who operates Greiser’s Coffee & Market in the town center, said she aims to bring her experience fostering bipartisan collaboration to the Board of Selectmen.
"Just as I was honored in 2019 to be asked by the Republican Town Committee to run for a seat on the Library Board, I feel privileged now to join Nick D’Addario on the Democratic ticket in my run for Selectman," she said. "I’m proud of our bipartisan accomplishments on the Library Board and that my shop in Easton has become a gathering place for people with diverse points of view. I hope to extend that spirit of collaboration, open communication, and optimism to the Board of Selectmen to serve the town we all love."
Democrats have held a majority on the Board of Selectmen since 2019. In the 2023 municipal elections, the party posted historic gains, sweeping major races with record margins. The Democratic ticket for this fall’s election will be formally introduced at a candidate forum later in the year.
