Danbury Motorist Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash In Redding

REDDING, CT — A Danbury resident was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Redding early Monday morning, according to police.
The 31-year-old motorist struck a tree while traveling southbound on Route 53, just north of John Read Middle School. First responders found the wreck shortly after 2:00 a.m.
The driver was ejected from the heavily damaged vehicle and was dead at the scene, according to a Facebook post from the Redding PD.

The victim has not yet been identified.
The crash remains under investigation by the Redding Police Department.
