EASTON, CT — A water main break on Route 59 near Chester Road has prompted a detour of the northbound lane, Easton police said.

Northbound traffic is being rerouted from Route 59 onto Marsh Road, then Gate Ridge Road and Flat Rock Road. Police advised motorists to follow posted detour signs and proceed with caution in the area.

The southbound lane of Route 59 remains open to traffic.
