WESTON, CT — The Weston Volunteer Fire Department issued a traffic alert due to downed power lines.

"TRAFFIC ALERT Avoid the area of Newtown Turnpike & Valley Forge Road. Road is closed until further notice due to downed wires on fire in the roadway. Fire and police personnel are on scene and awaiting Eversource," officials said.
