On Thursday, March 8 police responded to after receiving a report of a 17-year-old female who overdosed on prescription medication. She was taken to the hospital, and police could not release any more information.

On Sunday, March 11, police stopped a car they clocked traveling 68 mph on Black Rock Turnpike at 3:38 p.m. The driver, a 17-year-old male out of Westport, was issued a misdemeanor summons for speeding. Because of his age and the speed he was going, his license was automatically suspended for 48 hours.

Credit card fraud

On Tuesday, March 6, a resident reported to police that $2,000 of fraudulent charges were placed on their credit card. The charges originated in California. The resident’s credit card company is making good on the theft, police said, and the resident is no longer a victim, so no investigation will occur.

iPod stolen at Barlow

On Monday, March 5, a student reported someone had stolen their iPod out from their locker at the high school.

Teenagers light a bonfire

On Saturday, March 10 at 4:22 p.m., police received a report of four teenagers who set a bonfire off in the woods off Side Cut Road. The males fled the scene before police arrived and the fire department extinguished the fire.
