On Tuesday, July 26, shortly after midnight, a female showed up at the Easton Police Department to report that her live-in boyfriend, allegedly tried to strangle her. As a result, police arrested a 57-year-old Easton man.
The suspect was charged with strangulation in the third degree, assault in the third degree and disorderly conduct. He was released on a promise to appear in court the following day and the strangulation and third-degree assault charges were later dismissed.
