Easton Man Sent to Jail For Failure to Appear

Jamie Smith, 26, of Sport Hill Road was arrested by state police near Southbury on Dec. 10 due to multiple warrants for his arrest.

According to police, charged Smith with failure to appear in court to answer to three motor vehicle charges, including driving with a suspended license. Police said the Madison and Guilford Police Departments also had warrants for his arrest for failure to appear.

Smith was transferred to Bridgeport Correction Facility as he was held on a $1,500 bond by Easton and bonds by both the other departments.
