Easton, Redding & DEEP Crews Work To Right Toppled Oil Tanker

Crews from Easton, Redding and the state returned a toppled oil truck upright on Sunday.

EASTON, CT — Crews from Easton, Redding and the state returned a toppled oil truck upright on Sunday, after it had slipped off the road in icy conditions.

It was all hands on deck around 6:30 a.m. when members of the Easton Fire Department, Easton Police Department, Redding Fire Department, Redding Police Department, Redding EMS and the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection responded to an oil truck on its side on North Park Avenue in Easton.

Redding EMS transported the driver and Easton Fire had command of the scene. By 9:00 a.m. the truck had been uprighted, DEEP approved the cleanup and all units were released.
