EASTON, CT — The Easton Board of Selectmen on Aug. 7 approved creating a task force to study the town’s continued membership in the Aspetuck Health District and authorized the purchase of an electric police vehicle.

The health district task force was approved unanimously on a motion by Selectman Kristi Sogofsky, seconded by Selectman Nick D’Addario.

Also at the meeting, the board voted to waive the request-for-proposal provision under town code to allow for the direct purchase of an electric police car, following a recommendation by Police Chief Foti Koskinas.
