Easton Woman an 'Outstanding Teacher' in Bridgeport

Jennifer Luckart of was recognized recently as an Outstanding Teacher by the Bridgeport Public Education Foundation and the Fairfield County Community Foundation as one of 10 individuals who have made a difference in education in Bridgeport.

The 2012 Inspiration Awards recognize teachers, administrators and community leaders who have dedicated their time and passion to helping Bridgeport students succeed.

Luckart, a speech and language pathologist at Cesar Batalla School, has been working in Bridgeport schools for eight years.

Luckart works with all students who have speech and language difficulties, particularly children with autism. She recently implemented an I Touch Lab in the school, creating a program that is dynamic and flexible in meeting the diverse needs of her students.
