Emmanuel Church will host its ever-popular Family Fair on Saturday, September 15, 10-4. Great eats, entertainment and more! Free admission.

August 29, 2018 (WESTON, Conn.) -- Step right up for Emmanuel Church’s time-honored 112th Family Fair on Saturday, September 15 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm on the parish grounds, 285 Lyons Plain Road, Weston. Fairfield County residents and beyond are invited to attend this family-friendly event, that will take place rain or shine.
The festivities planned are many and varied. Fair goers will enjoy music by Weston’s own Chris Coogan from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm and youth jazz pianist, Karl Schultz, from 2:00 - 4:00. Traditional carnival fare plus ice cream and popcorn will be available. There will also be face painting, a bouncy obstacle course, and variety of children’s games.
What’s more, attendees will be invited to enter the ever popular, “Best Chocolate Chip Cookie in Connecticut” contest -- back with a panel of local judges -- High School Principal Lisa Deorio, St. Francis of Assisi’s Father Jeff Couture, etc). Prizes will be awarded for First, Second and Third Place. Bakers of all ages are encouraged to enter at no charge. Bring one dozen, homemade chocolate chip cookies, a list of ingredients (required for entry) & your name and contact information to the contest table by 12:00 noon, the day of the fair. Creativity is welcomed -- the only rule is that the cookies include chocolate chips. Guidelines can be found on the church website (www.emmanuelwestonct.org).

“Our Fair is a tradition that brings our parish and community together. We hope everyone will come out to enjoy it,” said Katy Piazza, Emmanuel Church Rector.
Fair Committee Chair, Kit Hamilton, also commented.
“Emmanuel’s Family Fair is fun for everyone. It’s such a great thing to see so many in the community come out and enjoy the food, the great deals, the stress-free environment, and just have a fun time. Country fairs, such as ours, are becoming harder to find -- which is just one more reason why this event is so special.
112 years old, the Emmanuel Family Fair proudly fosters a home-grown atmosphere and promotes a true sense of community -- a sure-fire, winning combination. Additional details can be found at www.emmanuelwestonct.org or by calling the church office at (203) 227-8565.
