Fuchs: Traffic on Friday for Sanford's Funeral

On Friday, April 20, many will gather to celebrate the life of G. Marshall Sanford, hauling equipment on response to a fire call. Sanford was a member of Redding's bravest for 50 years. 

will take place tomorrow at Redding Ridge Cemetery, which is located near the on Black Rock Turnpike. The celebration is expected to begin at 10 a.m. 

Police Chief Douglas Fuchs said that Black Rock Turnpike, between Cross Highway and Meeker Hill Road, "will be significantly disrupted between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m." but added that detours will be in place.

"Motorists should avoid that area," he said.
