Gilbert's Dedicated to Weston

The following is a letter to the editor sent by Mike Nardella.

To the Editor:

I strongly recommend Dan Gilbert for the position of First Selectman.

I have known Dan Gilbert for 20 years, and have always admired his dedication to community service. He has always stepped forward, volunteering for church, social, and government needs. He has made himself available at soup kitchens, AmeriCares home projects, Kiwanis club fund raisers, and many others. Dan has spent time, on three separate occasions, on home building projects in rural Kentucky. His efforts there have helped many families in their quest for a better life.

In his capacity as selectman, he has tackled difficult issues regarding real estate taxes, always being the voice in the room seeking a fair deal for our citizens. He has been active in the Weston school budget debates, striving for a fair and just solution for all parties. Dan has been an advocate for our children. He wants the best possible way to give our kids a quality educational experience, while always keeping a finger on the cost factor.

Vote for Dan Gilbert for First Selectman. He's a stand up guy who will make us proud.
