Gralnick and Moch For Police Commission

The following is a candidate statement by Susan A. Moch, who's running for Weston Police Commission.

To the Editor:

Now that the brouhaha surrounding the Republican’s claim that I had a conflict of interest that would prevent me from serving on the Police Commission is past, I would like the people of Weston to know me for something other than an attorney who for one brief moment 10 years ago worked on a file for her boss.

What makes me the right candidate for Police Commission?  A combination of everything that makes me the person I am: Dedication to community service; 35 years of experience in the Judicial System as a prosecutor, defense attorney, attorney-trial referee, 18 years as a Magistrate, work with domestic violence cases and victims and 18+ years as a resident of Weston, learning the ins and outs of our community through volunteerism as a member of the WWL, a girl scout leader, working on school plays, a Mentor, and more.

All of these facets give me a unique skill-set to understand the relationship between our police department and our community and the ability to find the best ways to maximize that relationship smooth for Weston. Beth Gralnick and I will provide a strong balance on the Commission. Weston has always prided itself on its “nonpartisan” politics. Perhaps now that the furor has passed we can return to electing the best people for the jobs.

On Election Day, please vote for Gralnick and Moch for Police Commission.
