The following is a press release written by Redding Police Chief Douglas Fuchs.

The Greater Danbury Half-Marathon will be passing thru Redding on Sunday, April 1. There will be road closures as well as speed reductions. It is anticipated that the runners will be in between 10:30 and 11:45 a.m.

Runners will be southbound from Bethel on Route 53 turning westbound onto Sidecut Road, crossing the railroad tracks in West Redding center and continuing up Long Ridge Road into Danbury. The Bethel Police Department will be detouring southbound traffic along Route 53 (at its intersection with Route 302).
