How Does Easton-Redding & Weston Compare with Area Schools in Math and English?

Find out how Easton-Redding and Weston students did on the state's new assessment tests for grades 3-8 compared to other area schools.

EASTON, CT — Seventy-three percent of Easton-Redding School District students met or exceeded ELA standards in 2014-2015 for Connecticut's new Smarter Balance exams while 83 percent met or exceeded standards in 2015-2016. Sixty-three percent of Easton-Redding School District students met or exceeded math standards in 2014-2015 while 77 percent met or exceeded standards in 2015-2016.

Seventy-three percent of Weston School District students met or exceeded ELA standards in 2014-2015 for Connecticut's new Smarter Balance exams while 79 percent met or exceeded standards in 2015-2016. Seventy percent of Weston School District students met or exceeded math standards in 2014-2015 while 72 percent met or exceeded standards in 2015-2016.

The Smarter Balance exams replace the Connecticut Mastery Test (CMT) and Connecticut Academic Performance Test (CAPT). The percentage of students statewide meeting or exceeding English standards rose by 3.3 points to 55.7 percent and 3.9 points to 44 percent in math.
