Norfield Children's Center is an amazing pre-school! They have staff who truly love the children - it is very much like the pre-schools we all remember from when we we little; any number of times I saw little ones cuddled up taking a nap Penny (the administrator). My second grader still sends notes to the teachers who actually take the time to write her back!. The pre-k program (called "k-prep") is play based like the rest of the program, but really helped my son blossom academically. The programs offered are very flexible and allow families to tailor to their individual needs. The school really felt like family while we were there and still welcomes visits from us now that we have moved on to big kid school. —sara spaulding
Norfield Children's center is a wonderful school. Both of my kids are there, my oldest in k-prep. It is the perfect balance of play and "work". I really think it accomplishes the tall order of preparing kids who aren't quite ready for the rigors of a kindergarten day, now more than ever with an extended day on the horizon. The community is supportive and the staff is incredibly loving and patient. Best decision to come to Norfield! —Shelby Baxter
The nice thing about Norfield Children's Center is the close proximity to Hurlbutt Elementary School, the Weston Public Library, the Food Pantry, the Town Hall, the Police Station, the Fire Station, and the Town Center. The children and parents who become part of the Children's Center's Family stay close as they go through preschool and into the public school system, even if the children do not end up in the same classes. Also, it's nice to be able to take routine field trips to the library to visit Miss Joy or to watch the Hurlbutt Elementary School's Halloween Parade just by taking a short walk down the hill. For Thanksgiving, the children collect canned goods and walk them over to the Food Pantry. These are just a few advantages of attending a local preschool that is so close to the Town's happenings. Additionally, the teachers and staff of Norfield Children's Center are well-loved by all students and parents who come through the preschool, extended day, and enrichment programs. —Catherine Revzon
