Korean War Veteran Donald Frank Bendik, of Easton, Passed Away

The Easton man served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was an expert carpenter and builder.

EASTON, CT — Donald Frank Bendik of Easton, beloved husband of LouAnn Bendik, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2016. Donald was a graduate of Bassick High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was an expert carpenter and builder who took great pride in his work.

In addition to his loving wife LouAnn, he is survived by daughter Lisa Raymond and her husband Cliff, and granddaughter Grace, all of Redding; daughter Diana Bendik of Trumbull; son Matthew; sister Evelyn Boehm of Monroe; brother Walter Bendik of Easton; two nieces, a nephew, cousins and friends. Donald requested that there be no calling hours. Interment, with military honors, will be on Thursday, September 22 at 10 a.m. in Lawncroft Cemetery in Fairfield.
