As a State Representative for Easton, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with Kristi Sogofsky on many issues that directly impact the community. Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand her dedication, her thoughtful approach to leadership, and, most importantly, her unwavering commitment to protecting Easton’s character and local decision-making.
Hartford has increasingly pushed for statewide, one-size-fits-all zoning and housing mandates that undermine the ability of towns like Easton to chart their own future. These top-down mandates may sound good in theory, but in practice, they disregard the unique needs and infrastructure limitations of smaller communities. Kristi has been a strong and steady voice against these overreaching policies. She understands that land use decisions belong in the hands of locally elected officials, not state bureaucrats.
Kristi recognizes that preserving local control isn’t about opposing affordable housing—it’s about ensuring any development is smart, responsible, and aligned with Easton’s rural character and capacity. She has consistently stood up for residents, working collaboratively and effectively to make sure Easton—not Hartford—decides how the town grows.

I’ve seen Kristi’s leadership up close. She does her homework, listens to the community, and never backs down when it comes to standing up for Easton. That’s exactly the kind of leadership needed on Easton’s Board of Selectmen.
I’m proud to support Kristi Sogofsky in this election, and I encourage Easton residents to vote for her. She has earned it.
