Lois Z. Covell Rawson, 93, Passed Away Peacefully

Mrs. Rawson loved her family, cooking, gardening and her church family at Jesse Lee United Methodist Church of Easton.

EASTON, CT — Lois Z. Covell Rawson, age 93, beloved wife of her childhood sweetheart, Paul O. Rawson, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 20, 2016 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in North Grosvenordale, CT on October 22, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Marcus Earl Covell and Alice Almena Elliott Covell.

Lois loved her family, cooking, gardening and her church family at Jesse Lee United Methodist Church of Easton. Her letters and calls brought joy to many near and far, and she lived each day in the spirit of Christ.

In addition to her husband Paul of 73 years, survivors include her two loving children, Daniel Rawson and his wife JoAnn of Easton and Nancy Rawson of Philadelphia, PA, two cherished grandchildren, Richard Lind and his wife Elizabeth and Erica Lind and an adored great grandson, Richie Lind. She was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Hutchinson.

A graveside service was held on Aug. 25. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
