WESTON, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.
When the coronavirus outbreak hit in March, there was a severe shortage of personal protective equipment. Jay Friedman went into high gear, making 2,000 face shields and 98 gowns for Stamford Hospital, and he is still at it. In late spring he joined a volunteer group organized by Anne Hughes, the state representative for the 135th District
