The Easton Memorial Day Parade is scheduled for Monday, May 26th. The Parade will begin at the Easton Fire Station at 9:30 am and end at the Town Hall. Following the parade, there will be a ceremony honoring those who gave their lives defending America and our freedoms. Isabel Mariani will sing the National Anthem and God Bless America, and the opening invocation and closing benediction will be provided by local church leaders. After the ceremony, short remembrances will be held at the Easton Cemeteries. All are welcome. For more information, please contact Town Hall or Don Rogerson, Post Commander, at 203-209-1402. (On May 24th, the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and anyone who wishes to volunteer will be placing flags on graves starting at 9:30 am at Union Cemetery, and then Aspetuck Cemetery.) The parade is a favorite community event where we all get together and display our sense of community. It is a big event for our young people, and most of all, honors those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Hope to see you there.
