Menorah Lighting On Easton Town Green Dec. 20

It will be the 35th year Mishkan Israel Day Camp has celebrated Hanukkah in Easton.

EASTON, CT — The Mishkan Israel Day Camp plans to celebrate Hanukkah with a series of public Menorah lightings Dec. 19 through Dec. 25 in five Fairfield County communities.

In Easton, the ceremony will be held 6 p.m., Dec. 20 on the Town Green. It will be the camp's 35th year celebrating the holiday in Easton.

The ceremonies are all open to the public free of charge and are expected to draw a number of civic representatives such as first selectmen, councilors and first responders, according to a news release. There will be activities for children, light refreshments and musical entertainment.

Mishkan Israel operates a Stamford-based summer day camp, an outreach initiated in Bridgeport in 1945 by Rabbi Israel Stock and his wife as emissaries of Rabbi Yosef Schneersohn.
