Obituary: Sondra Joan Breeland, 87, Of Wilton

WILTON, CT — Sondra Joan Breeland, 87, Of Wilton, passed away on Mar. 16, 2023, surrounded by family.

Born January 22, 1936, in Galveston, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin (Benny) Paskowitz and Manilla (Buster) Mosley Watterson. Sondra loved growing up on the island and Galveston always had a special place in her heart. Like her mother, she was a very talented artist and loved the arts, museums, and theater. She had many endeavors, including her early years as a TWA flight attendant, modeling, and working for the Dallas Texans, before starting her family. She was a devoted mother to her three sons. During this time, she volunteered in her community and then subsequently returned to the workforce, and later retired from Driscoll/Miller Elementary School in Wilton, where she made many friendships that she treasured.

She is survived by her three sons; Lloyd Breeland of Norwalk; Derrick Breeland and wife Naakai of Trumbull; Kevin Breeland and wife Lisa of Bethel; three grandchildren, Tate, Jamie and Dylan. Sondra loved her family and friends and held them dear to her heart. She also loved her grand dogs, Jake, Guinness, and Root Beer.

Friends may greet the family on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Bouton Funeral Home, 31 West Church St. Georgetown.
