Man Seriously Injured Following Easton Scooter Accident: Police

The crash closed​ Route 58 between Pine Tree and Valley roads for several hours.

EASTON, CT — A man was seriously injured in a scooter accident Tuesday evening in Easton.

At around 6:50 p.m., the Easton Police Department received multiple 911 calls reporting an accident on Route 58 between Valley Road and Country Club Lane. A man was seriously injured when he fell off his disabled scooter that was being towed by another motor vehicle, according to police.

The victim was transported to St. Vincent's Medical Center where he remains in critical but stable condition, police said.

The Fairfield Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team was on scene and is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
