REDDING, CT — A driver was hospitalized following a single-vehicle crash Monday afternoon.

The accident occurred on Glen Road/Route 53 between Redding Road and Newtown Turnpike.

Police received a report of the crash at 4:22 p.m. First responders found the driver had suffered moderate injuries. Before transport to the hospital, the driver was conscious and alert, Chief Mark O'Donnell said.
