Opinion: Resident Wants Duff to Save the State from 'Fiscal Anarchy'
Resident wants to elect Duff to represent the 2nd district so that he can help legislators get Redding and Connecticut 'back on track.'

REDDING, CT — The following letter to the editor is an opinion piece written by Bethel resident Philip Gallagher in support of Will Duff who is running for State Representative for the 2nd district which includes Bethel, Newtown, Redding and Danbury. "I am writing this letter in support of Will Duff for State Representative. If Will’s opponent is elected it will not be good for the residents of Danbury, Bethel, Redding and Newtown because it will mean a continuation of business as usual in the conduct of our State Government. It will mean a continuation of policies that have brought Connecticut to the brink of bankruptcy. It will mean a continuation of policies that continue to drive business and people out of Connecticut.
Why will this happen? It will happen because Will Duff’s opponent will solidify the Democratic Party majority in our State Legislature that has driven Connecticut to the point of fiscal anarchy. Will Duff will bring to Hartford a keen knowledge of the needs of the towns and city he will represent. He has gained this knowledge thru his service as Bethel Selectman and as a member of the Bethel Board of Education.

We need to send Will Duff to Hartford so that he can help Senator Mike McLachlan and other dedicated legislators turn things around and get Connecticut back on the track to government sanity and fiscal responsibility."
