Play Reading Of 'An Easter on Mulberry Street' Scheduled In Weston
The play follows the women of two families as they navigate the challenges of wartime in 1943 while preparing for Easter.
WESTON, CT — A concert reading of "An Easter on Mulberry Street," a comedy about an Italian-American family on the home front during World War II, will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 2 p.m. at the Weston History & Culture Center, 104 Weston Road. The reading will be performed by The Acme Stage Company and is written and directed by Frank S. Petrilli.
The play follows the women of the Morello and Baccolini families as they navigate the challenges of wartime in 1943 while preparing for Easter. Part of the “Mulberry Street” series, the play highlights the resilience of those left at home during the war. A discussion with the writer, director, and cast will follow the reading.
Seating is limited, and advance tickets are recommended. Tickets are available at Weston History & Culture Center. Prices are $15 for members and $20 for non-members in advance, with door tickets available for $25.
